Gifts and Sponsoring
We depend on the payments from clients to cover our running costs. The counsellors, psychotherapists and administrators give the time and skills without charge, but we still have a shortfall of about £4 per session. We depend on donations to cover this. Without them we could not operate.
| Think: | £4 provides a session for a distressed youngster, £100 allows us to transform someone's experience of life as clients use, on average, 25 sessions. |
You may be able to offer a donation, which can be gift-aided. Perhaps your company might sponsor a counselling slot?
Counselling opportunities
We welcome contact from counsellors and psychotherapists willing to offer to work with our clients. We prefer trainees and less experienced counsellors to have already worked with young people in some role.
We are essentially a self-financing organisation. We provide group supervision, usually three to a group, and practice insurance. To cover these costs we ask counsellors to offer four sessions a week. With holidays and less than 100% loading this can be expected to provide the 150 hours a year required for BACP accreditation.
Fundraising
We invite people with an interest in or experience with fundraising to contact us. Access to funding is the primary constraint on our growth.
